Shakespeare forum with Melania levitski

7:30pm - 8:30pm
(1st Tuesday of the Month and 3rd Monday of the Month)

During our time together, 4-5 people will get up and play through a monologue. I will ask questions about their choices and intentions. Then they'll play through the piece again, and all participants can share their observations and enthusiasm.

There's no pressure to perform, or to even get up and work. Observing Shakespeare is always rewarding!

Thursdays

Dance for adults

8:45am - 9:45am
Dance for Adults with Margaret Hallisey

This class is about celebrating our bodies, movement, rhythm, music and each other in one of the most beautiful dance spaces in New York State! This class mixes many different styles of modern dance technique. Coming every week is recommended, so you can continue to learn the dance we are working on. We also do guided group improvisation. Reawaken the inner dancer in you in a safe and joyful environment.

Margaret Hallisey began dancing in her grandmother’s bedroom age 3-4, then at 8 years old was formally trained in Irish Step Dancing, winning first place in the North American Championship at age 15. She began studying modern dance at Sarah Lawrence College, with many wonderful teachers including Viola Farber. After graduating from SLC in 1989, Margaret moved to NYC and continued to dance, and choreograph dances, until she started acupuncture school in 2001. This class is an open invitation to all to join in the dance, as Margaret returns to her first great love.
